What we do here and why it works is based on a few very basic and effective principles. These principles are the foundation of our philosophy, and how we quit smokeless tobacco. We are a pretty easy going, anything goes kind of community, and we usually let just about anything fly. But we do not mess around when it comes to these.

We Are All Addicts

Bottom line. No question about it. If you can’t come to terms with this fact, your not ready to quit.

According to Merriam Websters:

ad·dic·tion | noun | \ə-ˈdik-shən, a-\1 : compulsive need for and use of a habit-forming substance (as heroin, nicotine, or alcohol) characterized by tolerance and by well-defined physiological symptoms upon withdrawal. broadly : persistent compulsive use of a substance known by the user to be harmful.

Regardless of if you will allow yourself to believe it or not, you are an addict too. You are addicted to nicotine. This is a hard one for a lot of potential and new quitters to wrap their minds around. But once you do, quitting starts to make sense.

We Don’t Use Nicotine in Any Form

You’re not addicted to dip, chew, snuff, snus, cigars, cigarettes or NRT’s [nicotine replacement therapies]. You’re addicted to the nicotine found in all of them.

Would you give an addict of any other substance just a little bit of that substance to ease the discomfort of withdrawal? Unless it could harm or kill, as in the case of some serious hardcore drug addictions, the answer is no.

You quit how you want, but if you do decide to quit here and with us, no nicotine.

We ‘Post Roll’ With Our Quit Groups Daily

We make a daily promise to quit nicotine in the form of posting roll. We know that as nicotine addicts, we must maintain accountability to stay quit. We maintain this accountability by posting roll. When we post up, we are giving our word, making a promise to ourselves and the entire community to not use nicotine today. We take a little bit of time out of our morning each day to post roll. We take nicotine off the table. We go about our day and stay quit. This system is simple, and it works.
