Understand Your Addiction Before You Quit Dipping:

If you cant come to terms with the fact that you are an addict, you will never come to terms with the fact that you have to quit. You are addicted to nicotine, bottom line. The Law of Addiction states that the “Administration of a drug to an addict will cause reestablishment of chemical dependence upon the addictive substance.” You don’t need nicotine. You don’t want nicotine. You know you need to quit, but you feel like you can’t. You are an addict. The only reason you feel like you cant quit, is because your addiction is telling you that you cant. Its time to stop letting your addiction tell you what to do, and take control of your own freedom. When you can understand and accept that, your ready to quit dipping.

Write down the Reasons You Quit Dipping:

Once you have made the decision to quit dipping, you need reasons to stay quit. Think about this long and hard. No matter the reasons, wives, children, family, friends, work or health. All of these reasons need to be put down on a piece of paper and held close. These reasons may seem clear now, but a time will come when you will be tested and your addict brain will fog this reasoning. Your addiction has the ability to make you rationalize things that your clear thinking mind would never consider. Having these reasons on a piece of paper close to you, giving you the ability to realize how much this means to you right now, can be the difference between failure and success.

Find Support to Help You Quit Dipping:

Support is key. And negativity kills quits. Surround yourself with support at home, and here. We have found that it is sometimes hard to get support from those that want us to succeed at this the most. These people are mainly our wives and children. The reason that their support can sometimes fall short is because they don’t understand how hard quitting is. This is why we started this place. We know what your going through because we have been there. And sometimes, hurtful truths hit home harder from those that share in your addiction. This is an open invitation to quit with us and get the support you need. You are more than welcome to join us, share, interact, learn and vent. That’s why were here.

Embrace the FIGHT When You Quit Dipping

As hard as it may seem in the throws of withdrawal, you must embrace this. You need to know in your heart that this does get better, and you are making the right choice to quit dipping. When I say embrace it, I mean soak it up and remember how this feels. Bottle it. Keep it close to you at night. You will be tested, and when you are, use this as a reason to never turn back.
