How are we going to add weight to our message?

The simple answer is media, all kinds of it. I have been racking my brain thinking about what I can add to the site that would actually help new quitters. I know that the same ‘ol written content is useful, but what really motivates people to make that first step?

What is going to give our message the weight that it needs to reach the people who are searching for that message and their freedom? How are we going to get our point across?

Because that is what this whole thing is all about, helping people quit. Bottom line. This isn’t about money or fame, trust me. The scourge of spit tobacco had me under its spell, and I broke free. I need to help others find that same freedom. And on top of all of that, this website and quit project is a labor of love for me. Something that I will never give up.

What We’re Working On

We are working on some cool stuff around here, and this last section that I added is one that I think is going to be really powerful. It is a new quitting videos section with a whole lot of stuff that I think is going to prove to be very inspirational. Reading about something can be powerful, but actually seeing it can be ground breaking. This is why I chose video for my next project, and other projects further on down the road.

As sad as these stories are, and we really do feel for the families and all involved. Because we know, and can now see, just how spit tobacco tears families apart and ends lives. We know that this is the true face of chewing tobacco, the ulgly side of tobacco that most want to ignore. This side of spit tobacco is one that needs to be seen.

Yea, these videos have been circulating the internet for years, I understand that. But where can you go to get this many stories all in one place? Here, that’s where.

Rick Bender, a baseball player, quitter, cancer survivor and anti spit tobacco advocate said it perfectly “The day you start using tobacco of any kind you put yourself at risk of cancer.” Truly, it can’t be said any better or simpler than that. This is the message that we need to promote, what people need to know and understand.

A Thanks to The Creators of These Videos

I want to personally thank every single one of these guys, even though they will probably never read this. Without every one of them doing what they do, these messages would never be heard.

They are so sad and powerful, that they must be seen and heard.

So, check out our videos section, and let me know what you think with a comment. You can post them on this page or on the actal videos page. Because our members and lurkers opinions mean everything to me and us. They are why this place is here, and why we do what we do.
